Barbara Stroh
Barbara A. Stroh, 83, New Knoxville, died at 12:05 a.m. April 17, 2012, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
She was born March 26, 1929, in Belle Center, to William and Jennie Dutcher Painter. On May 26, 1947, she married Ralph E. Stroh, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, William Stroh, Divide, Colo., and Dennis (Char) Stroh, New Knoxville; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Deceased are six siblings, Pearl Painter, Belva Wendell, Thelma Painter, Cecile Goings, Sam Painter and Pete Painter.
A 1947 graduate of Belle Center High School, she attended cosmetology school and later was owner/operator of Barbara's Beauty Shoppe, New Knoxville.
She was a member of the New Knoxville United Methodist Church and the women's society of the church.
Service is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Dennis Gaertner officiating. Burial will follow at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys.
