Shirley Kemper
Shirley M. (Welker) Kemper age 82 of Maria Stein, Ohio died Sunday, November 1, 2020 at her daughter's home in Mendon.
She was born on May 18, 1938 in Abanaka, Ohio to the late Orval & Cloetta (Tarr) Humerickhouse. She married Joseph Kemper, Jr. on October 24, 1997 and he survives in Maria Stein.
She is also survived by her children: Dawn & Mark Stutz, Van Wert, Dallas & Kris Welker, Van Wert, Darla & Terry Seibert, Mendon, D'Anna & John Siano, Mendon, 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, In-laws Jerome & Bernadetta Kemper, Osgood, Wilbert Kemper, Maria Stein, Viola Kemper, Chickasaw.
She was preceded in death by sons: Dana & Darren and granddaughter Shirissa Seibert, in-laws Joseph & Catherine (Dahlinghaus) Kemper, Werner Kemper, Linus & Georgia Kemper, Rita & William Baltes, and infant Francis Kemper.
Shirley was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein, and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
For Shirley, her family was her life and she enjoyed crocheting, cooking, sewing, singing and playing the steel guitar. She also loved dancing with her husband Joe and was always up for a good road trip. She was a social butterfly and enjoyed her card club.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 9:30 AM on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Maria Stein, burial will follow at St. John Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 3 to 7 PM on Friday, November 6, 2020 and from 8:30 to 9 AM on Saturday. Visitors are asked to follow CDC guidelines.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the State of the Heart Hospice and Alzheimer's Association.
