Charles Jacobs
Charles A. "Chuck" Jacobs, age 58, of Cassella, died on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at his home in Cassella. Chuck was born May 20, 1966, in Coldwater to the late Donald & Helen "Butch" (Mescher) Jacobs. On September 15, 1989, he married Janine (Lange) Jacobs. Janine survives at their home in Cassella.
Chuck is also survived by five children and their spouses: Trevor & Stephanie Jacobs of Cranberry Prairie, Trent & Nicole Jacobs Ft. Recovery, Ryan & Alyssa Jacobs of Union City, Cadence & Braedon Alig of St. Anthony, and Isaac Jacobs of Coldwater & significant other Faith Grube. Also surviving Chuck are his 12 grandchildren: Kolcen, Jayce, Bash, Everleigh, Will, Rhett, Bowen, Wren, Georgia, Wade, Aiden, and Charley, his two sisters, Cathy & Don Knapke of Fort Recovery, and Cindy & Sam Dues of Coldwater, his mother-in-law, Edna Lange of St. Henry, and in-laws: Michelle & Dale Kaiser of Ft. Recovery, Diane Lange of Coldwater, Ronald & Wanda Lange of Osgood, Sheila & Larry Phillips of Beavercreek, Renee & Michael Bertke of Maria Stein, and Tricia & Charles Wendel of St. Henry.
In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Cletus Lange.
Chuck was a member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Cassella. He volunteered for the Chickasaw Fire Department for 10 years. Chuck had diverse working experience and had many job opportunities, but his most favorite job was being a grandpa, he loved and lived for his grandkids. Chuck also was a dedicated Ohio State Buckeyes fan and enjoyed going camping and listening to blue grass music.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, January 6, 2025, at Nativity Church in Cassella. Following the funeral mass, a committal service will take place in Nativity Cemetery in Cassella.
Friends and relation may call on Sunday from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Monday from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.
In lieu of flowers and gifts memorial contributions may be made to The Cancer Association of Mercer County. Condolences for the family may be expressed at hogenkampfh.com.
