Ronald W. "Ace" Boroff, 78, rural Spencerville, died at 7:40 a.m. June 11, 2012, at The Laurels of Shane Hill Care Center, Rockford.

He was born March 6, 1934, in Mendon to William David and Mabel Lucille Mutersbaugh. On June 1, 1957, he married Helen Jean Martin, who survives.

Other survivors are three children, John M. (Pat) Boroff, Delphos, Jodi L. (Bill) Scheele, Uniopolis, and Lori J. (Jeffery) Routt, Rockford; three sisters, Ruth L. Smith, Celina, Frances "Tootie" (Alfred) Armstrong, St. Marys, and Helen L. Boroff, Spencerville; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Deceased are four sisters, LaRee Overly, Lois Wood, Evelyn Boroff and June Boroff; a brother, Paul Boroff; and two great-grandchildren.

He attended the former Mendon school and retired after working 44 years as a shipping clerk for Hayes-Albion/Trim-Trends Corp., Spencerville.

Graveside services are 10 a.m. Thursday at Mendon Cemetery, the Rev. Mark Rutledge officiating.
